Who is Arshad Sunday?
Muhammad Arshad bin Ahad, also known as Arshad Sunday, is an aspiring musician that is passionate about music and arts pedagogy. Arshad is a music educator specialising in teaching Pop Vocals, Beatboxing and Ukulele.

He graduated from Republic Polytechnic with a Diploma in Sonic Arts. He holds a distinction in Grade 8 Pop Vocals and is currently taking his bachelor’s degree at LASALLE, majoring in music.

Arshad strives and aspires to be a Music Educator and Music Producer.
The Beginning
Arshad's passion for music started when he was 9 years old. In primary school, he joined the school's Dikir Barat (Malay Arts group) and he was appointed the leader of the team. The school's team entered a few Dikir Barat tournaments and achieved gold in many of it.

In secondary school, he joined the school's show choir and was appointed the Vice President. In 2012, the school's choir achieved first in the Inter-school show choir competition. In 2013, the school's choir achieved the Diamond Award for B-Dazzled Show Choir Competition. 
Beatboxing
Arshad started beatboxing at the age of 11. At that time, he didn't even know that it is called beatboxing, he thought he was just emulating music with his mouth. In 2015, he joined the Pol-ITE beatbox championship and was nominated top 8. In 2016, he joined the National Beatbox Championship and he was once again nominated as the top 8 beatboxer in Singapore.
Multi-Instrumentalist
Arshad started singing at a very young age. Arshad took vocal lessons during his time in Dikir Barat and Show Choir. He also took formal vocal lessons with Ann Hussein, lead vocalist for Gingerbread. Arshad entered numerous singing competitions and won many of them.

Arshad started playing the ukulele when he was 13 years old. He was inspired by Israel Kamakawiwo, a Hawaiian musician. He then started playing the guitar and tried various genres on the guitar such as Jazz and Middle-eastern music, and that let him got his first Oud. He also acquired keyboard skills through the modules he took in his polytechnic and university.
Music Production
Arshad has always had a passion for music production. This prompted him to apply to Republic Polytechnic to pursue a Diploma in Sonic Arts after completing his secondary education. During his time at polytechnic, he began studying about music production, which lead him to create his debut song and EP in 2019.

He is currently specialising in Electronic Music for his Bachelor's Degree at LASALLE College of The Arts to further develop his producing abilities.
